Meursault 1er Cru « Les Genévrières » -

From the 1er Cru region in Côte de Beaune our wine takes its place in the heart of the «Belle Côte» (beautiful coast/ side) in the 1er Cru’s of Meursault. This area was given its name as it was formally made up of juniper (‘genévrier’ in French) bushes giving us very fragrant berry flavours detected from the first taste of this elegant and silky 1er Cru wine.

Place :  In the middle of the Meursault 1ers crus, next to « Les Charmes” et “les Perrières” Côte de Beaune.

Col.our :  A golden colour with green reflections

Nose :  this 1er Cru is elegant with subtle shades of rose that balances perfectly with its deep roundness and finishing on notes of apricot and mandarin.

Palate :  the delicate and clear palate is long and silky which gives a taste of hazelnuts and honey on the tongue. This wine is a perfect example of the greatness of a Meursault 1er Cru.

Temperature :  13°-14° C

Gourmet agreement :  best served with a well cooked foie gras and caramelised apples.

Aging potential :  10-15 years and more depending on the vintage
