Pommard Villages -

Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Pommard is exclusive only to red wine. Our wine from this region is very surprising with its powerful fruity black nose, hinting on animal notes and chocolate leaving a big powerful finish with a beautiful long palate.

Soil :  calcareous and clay with lots of iron

Place :  our vines are situated north of Pommard, Côte de Beaune

Col.our :  deep rich red

Nose :  very expressive focusing on chocolate and spices with an intense bouquet of blackcurrant, musk, wood and sandalwood.

Palate :  Palate is closed and powerful concentrating on black fruits such as blueberry, blackcurrant and black cherries with subtle hints of animal characteristics. This robust Pommard is ripe and without being too rustic it ensures a good length.

Temperature :  15°-16° C

Gourmet agreement :  Grilled red meat or in a gamey and powerful sauce; strong cheeses such as l’Epoisses, Délice de Pommard or Le Livarot.

Aging potential :  wait at least 4 - 5 years before consuming allowing the tannins to ‘melt’, can stay in a cellar between 12 - 15 years if stored correctly and depending on the vintage.
