Meursault 1er Cru « Perrières » -

From the Côte de Beaune 1er cru region of Meursault, this parcel of land has very rocky soil (‘pierre’ in French) hence the name «Les Perrières». Perrières is located above «Les Charmes» and next to the vineyards of Puligny Montrachet. From a very famous region this wine gives us all the finest flavours and aromas seducing our palates with sumptuous and evocative perfumes ending on hints of chestnuts.

Soil :  rocky and close to the underground construction sites that created the Meursault village.

Col.our :  a bright pale yellow colour with subtle reflections of amber

Nose :  The nose is mineral and spicy focusing on notes of pepper and aniseed. It combines finesse, power and structure with the scents of honey and hot almond croissants. The perfume is delicious and very evocative.

Palate :  the palate is mineral and evokes the dryness of the ripe grape. This wine is of great complexity and elegance that opens up to roasted hazelnuts.

Temperature :  13°-14° C

Gourmet agreement :  Goes very well with game meat, foie gras, lobster or crayfish and big sea fish.

Aging potential :  a big wine that needs to wait 2 - 3 years in a cellar before opening as it will evolve with age and can keep up to 15 years or more depending on the vintage.
