Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru « le Cailleret » -

South of the Côte de Beaune, our vines are located next to the Grand Cru classification of Puligny Montrachet. Our 1er Cru comes from a reddy/ chalky soil with “cailloux” meaning stones hence the name “Cailleret”. Our Cailleret is a white gold tinted and delicate wine showing off hints of mocha and beautiful fruity notes with a long fresh palate.

Nose :  Beautiful scents of mocha shine through an open and powerful nose with aromas of white fruit.

Palate :  The palate is clean and open, defined by a pure and elegant minerality. The perfume of ripe fruit leaves a long finish. This wine is perfectly balanced between delicate and fresh yet with plenty of rigor.

Temperature :  10°-12° C

Gourmet agreement :  Best served with freshwater fish like sole, trout or quail.

Aging potential :  14 - 16 years depending on the vintage, our 1er Cru is considered as good as a grand cru classification.
